The Final Page of The Mystery of the Midget Clown

The Final Page of The Mystery of the Midget Clown

This is the story of a bad book, The Mystery of the Midget Clown. Luckily for the library, it was weeded out the year I arrived (Zanetti Library) but I kept it as we sometimes keep things that shock us — It is the story of a clown who is small and tries to find hidden treasure but breaks his leg because he is like a child because he is also very small. He’s then rescued by children who, at the end of the book, also dress as clowns and push him in his wheel chair.  See earlier posts for cover photo and a great image of the “midget clown” smoking a cigar in the hospital. It just doesn’t get any more surreal than that. Or awful~ 😦
